Anna Bligh comes to WETA
Tuesday, 29 July 2008

Premier Anna Bligh will be Guest Speaker at West End Traders Association Networking Function in August

In what will be her third appearance in as many years, local member and State Premier Anna Bligh will be joining the small business community of West End to share their concerns and answer their questions.

The West End Traders Association has represented the interests of the local business community in West End for more than 25 years, and has always enjoyed a close and cordial relationship with its local Brisbane City Council and
State Government representatives.

Despite all the recent media controversy to the contrary, West End Traders Association President Peter Marinelli has stressed that Anna Bligh was a hard-working local member, who had lived in West End for more than 20 years, and
was always open to approaches from the Association and individual constituents.

"Anna has attended two of our functions in the past," said Peter Marinelli, "but this will be the first time she's attended as Premier."
